| Eloise
TV Guide Staff Writer November 17, 1956 Eloise, the six-year-old hoyden who vexed and charmed everyone around New York's staid Plaza Hotel throughout Kay Thompson's book ("Eloise," published by Simon and Schuster), diverts her impish energies to TV Thursday, Nov. 22. Eloise will come to life on CBS' Playhouse 90 in the person of Evelyn Rudie, 7, the girl in these photographs. (The drawings, by Hilary Knight, are from the book.) She is a veteran of six movies and many TV plays. Miss Rudie will be supported by Ethel Barrymore, Louis Jourdan, Conrad Hilton, Monty Woolley and Mildred Natwick. Miss Thompson, who also made a record called "Eloise," wrote the score for the TV musical version.
